Description

Navigating the many requirements and expectations of the healthcare physical environment is challenging. Developing a process-based approach using risk-based thinking can enable a healthcare organization to not only achieve effective performance but also continuously improve physical environment operations.

In this workshop you will learn how applying ISO 9001 Quality management systems - Requirements to your physical environment operations can enhance your organization’s ability to consistently provide results that not only meet the applicable statutory and regulatory requirements but optimize performance.

The workshop is based on the DNV National Integrated Accreditation for Healthcare Organizations (NIAHO®) standards and ISO 9001- 2015 Quality management systems - Requirements.

Upon completion of this course, learners should be able to:

  • Learn to apply risk-based thinking to physical environment processes.
  • Learn to develop a process-based approach to the management of the physical environment.

Improvement of physical environment processes based on evaluation of data and information.
