Our Project
The Henry Cancer Center provides accessible, expert cancer care for the nearly one million residents of Northeast Pennsylvania which experiences an above-average incidence of many cancers. As such, Geisinger has identified a need to increase access and expand the services available to patients, where previously many patients have had to leave the area for the most advanced cancer care. The 4-story building expansion will feature a new entry sequence and lobby for the hospital, unifying the new addition with the existing building and reshaping the arrival experience as part of a holistic approach symbolizing health and wellness. The current Henry Cancer Center is LEED-Certified, and the new building is endeavoring to achieve LEED Certification as well. Biophilic design elements attract patients and visitors while integrating nature with the building. The addition is surrounded by green space and healing gardens that harness the peaceful setting of the Wyoming Valley for effective care.
