Join us in Chicago to jump start your career in health care facilities management! 

Register

Establish foundational skills that will serve you throughout your career with ASHE's introductory programs for new health care facilities managers. Join us for two day-long modules that cover daily operations and special projects and will help you prepare for common challenges in health care facilities management. Earn 14 CECs.

Daily Operations take-home objectives:

  • Explain the unique nature of the health care environment and the importance of the mission.
  • Discuss how to lead maintenance & operations teams to anticipate the complex needs of the critical facility systems that help to ensure a safe environment for patients.
  • Identify the impact of and need for continuous compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Take a risk-minimizing approach to maintaining the facility to ensure patient, staff and visitor safety.
  • Articulate the operational budget implications of daily compliance and operations to leadership.

Special Projects take-home objectives:

  • Explain how construction, renovation, and repair projects in the health care environment require careful risk assessment to ensure the safety of patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Discuss the steps involved in the Planning, Design & Construction (PDC) process and how to apply this process to projects in their facilities.
  • Identify critical steps for ensuring emergency preparedness in health care facilities.
  • Articulate the operational budget implications of special projects to leadership.
