Lunch & Learn Series:
Health Care Facility Management & Labor Shortages: The Perfect Storm
Presented by ARC Facilities
Description
Today, health care facilities and maintenance teams are forced to do more with less, including relying on fewer team members due to retirements. Meanwhile, work orders continue to pile up, preventative maintenance is pushed aside, and construction and renovations add more square feet for facilities teams to manage. The challenge — how to capture and share legacy knowledge before it walks out the door. Also, how to cover more ground, be more responsive and maximize efficiency with a smaller team.
Many organizations are forced to look at outsourcing certain functions including HVAC, grounds and custodial. Smaller teams dealing with labor shortages are finding that the time taken to recruit and train new hires is taking a toll on facility managers, who are already facing a plethora of deferred maintenance. But there’s light at the end of the tunnel.
In this presentation, we’ll share expertise on the following:
Learner Objectives:
- Effective ways to take custody of your building information
- Learn how to capture institutional knowledge before people retire or change jobs
- Accelerate new hire training starting day one
- Centralizing and streamlining the storage and flow of facility, equipment, and construction documentation
