Lunch & Learn Series:
The impact of transportation electrification on healthcare facilities
Description:
This session will explore how healthcare buildings & campuses can optimize EV charging infrastructure through the use of Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) – including the uses of energy storage for peak shaving in DC Fast charging applications. Learn about techniques and tools to enable smart charging while minimizing impacts to the hospital's essential electrical system. Key infrastructure considerations will also be discussed such as supporting large fleet electrification projects using both AC and DC chargers.
Learner Objectives:
- EV charging's role in the "energy transition"
- How hospital facility & energy managers can optimize EV charging infrastructure through the use of Distributed Energy Resources (DERs)
- Techniques and tools to enable smart charging while minimizing impacts on the essential electrical system
