Hospitals strive to reach sustainability goals but must prioritize the health of patients, visitors, and staff, especially water sustainability initiatives. The presentation will explore how a hospital can establish water-related sustainability opportunities, and how to balance those opportunities with safety – specifically mitigating the risk of Legionella and other waterborne pathogens. Easy to track sustainability metrics along with CAPEX and OPEX ROI will be discussed utilizing a 300-room hospital example.

Objectives:

  1. Explore a hospital example and dive into sustainability actions to implement and metrics to track.
  2. Discover simple steps to perform a water audit.
  3. Learn to prioritize safety while lowering water usage.
  4. Develop safe water sustainability efforts that also promote the reduction of plastic, paper, and battery usage.

Please Note: This is a Lunch & Learn program and is not eligible for CEUs.
