Volunteer to Help Other Facilities Get ENERGY STAR Certified
Volunteer to Help Other Facilities Get ENERGY STAR Certified
Want to achieve ENERGY STAR certification for your facility but you’re not sure where to start?
ASHE is teaming up with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to create a pro bono volunteer opportunity for motivated professional engineers (PE) and registered architects (RA) to verify health care facilities' applications for ENERGY STAR certification free of charge.
Buildings that are ENERGY STAR certified use 35 percent less energy than compared to similar buildings. Less energy usage means cost savings for your health care facility. On average, ENERGY STAR certified buildings cost $0.50 less per square foot to operate than their peers.
How does it work?
Health care facilities that want to earn their ENERGY STAR certification and qualified PEs and RAs can submit their information in one of the forms below. ASHE staff will match volunteers to facilities to ensure equal opportunities for all volunteers. Volunteers will be added to a private community on myASHE so they can have their questions answered.
