Many health care facilities are in need of greater investment to improve the country’s health care infrastructure—including areas that will improve safety and emergency preparedness, improve mental health, and provide better care for veterans. This monograph outlines the current state of health facilities in the United States and discusses areas of potential investment for hospital leaders to consider.
